Starting the Harvest Season at the Annual Ommiberg Celebration!

Crossing the decade benchmark in its 11th year, the Paarl Ommiberg ‘Round the Rock’ Harvest Celebration on 3 March was the ideal event to entice family and friends to head out to the Boland, and enjoy an entertainment filled line-up while savouring delicious food and wine.

By partnering with wine producers in the Boland region to once again make the annual
festival a memorable affair, Boland Cellar treated visitors to a family-fun day and activities to suit every individual’s preferences. Guests started the harvest season in the Cape Winelands to the sounds of local musos, Twee and Newton and Co.; enjoyed young wine tastings, craft beer, refreshing wine slushies and got creative with Henna tattoos.

Kids could enjoy the supervised play area and face painting while parents and other wine lovers browsed the day’s wine specials at the tasting room. Food trucks boasting the latest food trends and delicious eats were on standby to satisfy both peckish and more substantial appetites.
